This blog will account the daily events and science of a team of scientists, who are trying to understand more about how the Mississippi and Atchafalaya Rivers mix with the Gulf of Mexico. The research trip will be underway May 1st-8th, and blogs shall be added before and after the trip to give updates on what is happening in the lab.

Deploying the Box Corer

Hi Jim. The video of the storm looks pretty harrowing! Is it possible for people to wear a tether line when working at the rail during rough conditions? An accidental slip over the slide looks potentially unpleasant. -Tom W.
